Vision and Values

Our vision is to help all of our children develop lively, enquiring minds through high quality teaching, a tailored approach to learning and an emphasis on life skills, including the importance of courtesy and respect.

Our promise is ‘to provide the stepping stones that nurture, develop and inspire every child’s journey’.

Our core values tolerance, respect, patience, compassion, fairness and collaboration are embedded into every aspect of school life. They are continually referred to in our weekly whole school and year group assemblies, our SMSC and Enrichment programme as well as forming the basis of our Golden Rules and behaviour for learning practice.

Our student leaders are all pupils who consistently demonstrate and promote these values through their own learning and behaviours.

As a team of pupils, staff, parents and governors it has been our aim for The Vale Academy to become a place of sustained, outstanding provision and a hub for the community. Our children are happy and we have significant support from our parents and local community at all of our events.

We place collaborate working with our parents, governors and community at the core of our children’s success. We host numerous events for our parents and families to informally celebrate their child’s progress. These include termly open classroom events, Harry Potter and Roald Dahl reading events, Bring a relative to school and the Teddy Bears picnic. As a school we provide evening and weekend venues for a large number of community Arts and sports groups.

We are a friendly, welcoming school who enjoy celebrating and rewarding the incredible achievements of our pupils and families.
