Thank you for your fantastic support towards the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. As a supporter and friend we want to let you know about some of the fundraising activities that have taken place this year, how your support has benefited the patients and the kind donations we have received.

Thanks to the tremendous support we have received over the last year, we’ve been able to purchase:
- New toys and equipment for the children’s wards playroom
- New oxygen and brain monitors for the neonatal unit
- A new parent’s lounge for the neonatal unit
- A new cataract training device in Ophthalmology
- Day chairs on the elderly wards
- Cooling pads on the chemo unit
- Dementia activity kits and clocks
- Prostate cancer scanner
- Birthing pool in the consultant led unit
- Maternity bereavement suite and training
Through your kind donations, we have been able to give our elderly and baby / child patients; Christmas presents, Easter eggs, knitted clothes and dementia distraction muffs. We are starting to collect Christmas presents for the patients for this Christmas, if you have any unwanted new items you would like to donate or would like to buy a patient a Christmas present please let us know or drop the items into reception. If you would like to buy a patient a gift but are unsure what to buy, please visit www.amazon.co.uk and look at our ‘wish lists’ for inspiration (search Luton and Dunstable Hospital).
We will also be running our wonderful Light up a Life Campaign where you can buy a Light on the Christmas tree as a gift for someone special or dedicate a Light in memory of a loved one. Please see the attached light up a life order form for more details.
